This short trail from Nanaimo River Road to the Nanaimo River is part of the Trans Canada Trail. It's a small part of the trails that run from the Departure Bay Ferry in Nanaimo to Kilometer 0 in Victoria. Not all the sections are complete.
This great little trail winds it's way from Nanaimo River Road through double- and single-track trail down to the Nanaimo River. The trail should cross the river with a proposed bridge eventually.
This trail goes from the road to the river but the trail continues on the other side of the road all the way out to Extension Road and then on to Harewood Mines Road and the Abyss trails.
Directions to Trailhead
Driving along Nanaimo River road stop at the gates on both sides of the road half-way between White Rapids Road and South Forks Road. On the river side of the road there is a wood trail marker with a Pipeline trail sign on it. Follow the dirt road down 100 metres and then take the marked trail on your left.
