Westwood Lake Contest

Everyone should get outside and run and walk as much as possible this summer sooooo here’s a contest!!!

What you have to do:

All you have to do is run or walk Westwood Lake twice; Once in the next couple weeks and then once around the end of September. Time yourself both times and see if you can improve from now until then. Hopefully everyone will run and walk all summer so the second time will be much better!!

Take everyone you know out to run  and walk with you. Tell them to submit a story too and then they’ll be entered in the contest to win a prize from Australia!

What you have to submit:

After you’ve done your second timed run or walk around Westwood submit a story about your first and last runs or walks and what you did in between to help you get a better time. You don’t have to write every single detail but a good overview of your running, walking, mountain biking, mountain climbing would be good :) Take pictures, add gps tracks, anything that will make your story more interesting. You could make an entire website about it!  Don’t forget to add the names of the people you got running and walking during that time. The more the better!

What you get:

Everyone that doesn’t win gets a giant pat on the back for getting outside and actually doing something!!!  The winners get a prize from Australia!! I haven’t found the prize yet so don’t ask! It will be rad, don’t worry.

Now get out and run!!!

  1. I ran it in 34 minutes – but my prediction is that I will be fitter now that at the end of the summer! ;-) I like that you are running a contest and you aren’t even here. Nice work buddy!

  2. The whole idea is that you will be fitter at the end of the summer because you’ll be running and walking so much!!! Hang out with Brenna and she’ll take you running ;)
